Corsodyl 1%w/w Dental Gel
Uses
For the inhibition of formation of dental plaque and as an aid in the treatment and prevention of gingivitis and maintenance of oral hygiene. For use in a post-peridontal surgery or treatment regimen to promote gingival healing. Useful in the management of recurrent mouth ulcers and recurrent oral candidal infections (e.g denture stomatitis and thrush) and as an aid in the prevention of dental caries in high caries-risk patients (e.g. xerostomia sufferers) in a regimen as an adjunct to fluoride.
Dosage
Adults, the elderly and children over 12 years: brush teeth with 1 inch of the gel on a moistened toothbrush, once or twice daily for about 1 minute. For gingivitis, use for 1 month. For mouth ulcers and oral candidal infections: apply once or twice daily for about 1 minute. When used as part of a regimen to prevent dental caries, apply for 5 minutes nightly for 14 days in a close fitting tray. Children under 12 years: should not use unless recommended by a healthcare professional.
